Conan the Grandad

Mongol General: What is best in life?

Conan: To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

(Qt. from ‘Conan The Barbarian’)

Another experiment for me in gouache copying the head of Conan from a Frank Frazetta painting: Conan the Avenger. On the book cover Conan has a different head to the one I’ve been looking at. My version looks more like his grandad!
